THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to join our Peterborough office. This is a new role due to growth and you will be joining a friendly and ambitious team, with exposure to an interesting and varied portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience in external audit, accounts and general practice
  • Experience working with OMBs covering a range of industries
  • Competent user of MS Excel & Word. Experience of Sage, CaseWare and tax software preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to motivate, delegate effectively, develop the team and be a strong leader
  • Client focus and able to think commercially – able to seek out opportunities within the portfolio
  • Communication – oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments
  • Organisational skills – the ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities
  • Diplomacy and patience
  • Able to understand complex business issues and offer practical solutions

Responsibilities:

Your focus is on supporting the Partners and Directors in the delivery of the firm’s strategy and leading client relationships. You will be responsible for balancing levels of output with client expectations and budget.
You will motivates your team, across multiple projects, applying a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to generate practical solutions for our clients. You will take the lead on more complex and challenging assignments. You will utilise your internal and external networks to spot opportunities in your existing portfolio and start to generate new business opportunities for the Firm.
You will encourage your team to challenge the status quo and respond confidently to the challenge, using their ideas to drive your team forward. You will play a critical role in the development of your manager team, directing and coaching them to meet their goals and the objectives of the Firm.
