So, what’s the job?
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the audit plan (local and global), with minimum supervision, and execute audit engagement activities including determination of scope, risk analysis, controls testing and documentation of audit results, in line with the Group’s Audit Methodology.
You’ll build an in-depth understanding of Group Audit Methodology and assist the Head of Internal Audit in planning and determining the audit scope for relevant engagements.
You’ll participate in local and global audits, work with the business to understand their processes, document walkthroughs, complete audit testing , and document results in line with the Group Audit Methodology.
You’ll operate with minimum supervision on assignments, with required guidance and subsequent review and contribute to the wider Zurich Group Audit global team through your own professional skills and technical knowledge.
You’ll agree on corrective actions and deliver the final audit report with support from the Head of Internal Audit and Audit Lead.
You’ll track the implementation of agreed actions and develop own knowledge and business awareness by reviewing available resources and interacting with multiple stakeholders.
You’ll be involved in the end-to-end audit engagement, taking ownership of the audit work, documenting, testing and reporting results in line with the Group Audit Methodology.
You’ll influence the business by agreeing on corrective actions and delivering the final audit report, with support from the Head of Internal Audit and Audit Lead, when needed, working to track and achieve annual utilization targets, and report any shortfalls stakeholders.
You’ll complete annual performance assessments and supporting business cases for defined audits, providing concise data and clarification for corrective actions and ensure buy-in from business teams. Interact with peers and process owners to gather information and secure buy-in on audit recommendations.
You’ll develop business cases for audits to highlight benefits and secure agreement, utilising data analytics in audits when applicable to assist in risk analysis and audit planning.
You’ll research and analyse audit data sources for policy development; conduct process reviews to enhance audit efficiency and provide technical audit advice to stakeholders.
You’ll focus on internal client service delivery, sharing expertise, and supporting organizational efforts; demonstrating commitment to our corporate values, you’ll contribute to performance management discussions, and support team members’ development.
And what are we looking for?
You’ll have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Qualification and CIA, CISA, CPA or relevant technical subject matter certification, would be preferred
You’ll ideally have 4-5 years of experience as a Business Internal Auditor.
You’ll have good knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, internal control framework and controls testing.
You’ll be experienced with the use of databases and running Data Analytics as part of the audit work, accustomed and able to speak to good project management experience.
You’ll have the ability to interact with stakeholders from all seniority levels as well as build business relationships and be customer focused, collaborative, flexible, persistent and have a results-oriented mindset.
