As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution focused on advancing their digital business automation platform. You will be spearheading infrastructure automation projects that streamline IT processes and enhance operational efficiency. This role is essential to driving the automation strategy within a dynamic and complex IT environment, requiring a deep understanding of automation frameworks, scripting, and cloud-based infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative automation solutions that support the organization’s digital transformation goals.
Responsibilities:
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing and developing automation solutions to streamline IT processes and enhance efficiency
- Creating and maintaining scripts, workflows, and tools to automate repetitive tasks
- Evaluating and integrating new automation tools and technologies into existing systems
- Collaborating with IT and DevOps teams to implement automation in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
- Writing and maintaining scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues to minimize downtime
- Optimizing automation workflows for improved performance and scalability
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and drive automation initiatives
- Creating and maintaining documentation for automation processes and best practices
YOU’RE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- Extensive experience in automation engineering, particularly in infrastructure and systems automation
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or Puppet
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience managing them
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and automation within these environments
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of networking concepts and their automation
