Description:
THE POSITION
As part of the Site Operations organization, the Sr. Automation Engineer is a member of the Facilities Systems & Plant Engineering (FSPE) team that provides technical support to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of site facilities, utilities and equipment at Genentech’s South San Francisco and Dixon sites. The Sr. Automation Engineer acts as a Technical System Owner and subject matter expert for various process automation platforms. This role actively engages in the design, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of critical automation and technology infrastructure for a portfolio of 50+ buildings and ~6 million square feet of space. This role directly supports capital projects, business initiatives; leads process improvements and regulatory inspections.
