EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Working as a Senior Automation Engineer OT your aim is to deliver Automation expertise for day-to-day operational support.
The key objectives of objectives of this role are to review of communication protocols and our strategy definition along with defining how our IT architectures align whilst consolidating our operational data streams to feed our enterprise SCADA.

Some of the key accountabilities of this role will be:-

• Define and document all OT communication and network protocols and identify more efficiency ways to operate
• Define the OT communication strategy that delivers operational excellence
• Technical Lead and point of contact with IT network and infrastructure teams to ensure the IT/OT interfaces are optimised
• OT communication and IT interface with the eSCADA upgrade are optimised for operational benefit and resilience
• Consolidation of data streams to our eSCADA platform to deliver the single alarm engine strategy for Network Control
• Review, business case and implementation of innovative communication methods that will support our AMP8 ODI challenges

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

In order to succeed in this role you must have experience of Ovarro SCOPEx along with experience of schneider telemetry outstations. You must also have excellent fault finding and problem solving skills
If you have an understanding of the water and waste treatment process this would be desirable.
