Senior Automation Technologist / Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a Senior Automation Technologist/Engineer who would be responsible for developing automation and control system projects including everything from the sensor through to the control systems. This role collaborates with members of the Automation Team to design, develop, test and troubleshoot various software and programs.

o Participate in leading and supervising project and field services operations.
o Design, develop and test PLC/HMI/DCS/SCADA software.
o Provide field, commissioning, and startup services for industrial control systems.
o Collaborate with designers and drafters to develop controls drawing packages.
o Design, select products, place product orders and track materials for the assigned project.
o Create technical documents (e.g. Control narratives, DBM, shutdown keys, technical reports, documentation, calculations and sketches etc.)
o Assist management with the development of cost estimates, schedules, specifications, proposals, and bill of materials for assigned projects.
o Provide mentoring and supervision for junior staff as appropriate in the associated role(s).
o Participate in department training programs.
