Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with a strong emphasis on CloudFormation templates. The role involves close collaboration with development and operations teams to automate the deployment, provisioning, and scaling of applications and services on AWS. The AWS Cloud Engineer will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and optimizing the AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and security, and troubleshooting related issues. Staying up-to-date with AWS services and best practices, providing continuous improvement recommendations, and documenting infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures are essential aspects of this role.

Design, Implement, and Maintain AWS Infrastructure:

  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with a strong focus on CloudFormation templates.

Collaborate with Teams:

  • Work closely with development and operations teams to automate the deployment, provisioning, and scaling of applications and services on AWS.

CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build, and deployment processes.

Monitor and Optimize:

  • Monitor and optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.

Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot issues related to AWS infrastructure and application deployments.

Stay Updated:

  • Keep up-to-date with AWS services and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Documentation:

  • Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures.
