This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly motivated and highly skilled technical team that specialises in a variety of disciplines. We hold all the technical accreditations for our Global Reseller and Distribution businesses and deliver a wide range of projects from Azure design and modernisation through IoT design and implementation to working with ISVs to help them develop modern micro-service based applications and deliver effective CI/CD. We also support a wide range of Vendor Solutions on behalf of the distribution part of the company.

EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Consultative approach with clients leading technical discussions and presentations
• Architect and design Azure environments, infrastructure, and services that enable migration of IT infrastructure, services, applications, and systems from on-prem, private cloud and other public cloud environments to Azure
• Collaborates with client IT security teams to design, implement and manage cloud security policies, standards, and best practices
• Develop and implement scalable and resilient cloud architecture solutions
• Architect and administer Microsoft Entra ID
• Create and implement migration plans for infrastructure services, systems, and/or applications that will be transitioned to Azure
• Create architecture and data flow diagrams for hybrid cloud environments
• Design and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, BICEP and PowerShell
• Design Azure environments that ensure systems, applications, and data are high availability, backed up, and/or replicated to meet client requirements for disaster and business recovery
• Analyze and ensure that proper monitoring and alerting systems are in place for systems, services, and applications
• Evaluate and recommend Azure services based on client business requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with clients, software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate Azure solutions into existing systems and applications
• Implement and enforce security requirements to protect Azure-based systems and data
• Defines and maintains Azure Governance policies including Subscription Management, Cost Management, Security, Resource Consistency, Identity Baseline, Deployment Acceleration, etc
• Ensures compliance of architectural and engineering policies, standards, and procedures
• Stays current with emerging cloud technologies and trends and advises on the adoption of new Azure features and services
• Works closely with client development teams to support DevOps practices and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Recommends strategies to streamline systems for effectiveness and efficiency considering client needs and client strategies.
• Serves as a quality control and assurance officer for guidance and outputs to ensure consistently high standards
• Maintains and expands technical knowledge in communities of practice, knowledge management, and other technical interests by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
• Contributes to the expansion of Climb Global Services products and knowledge hub

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in enterprise cloud architecture in medium to large companiesor minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Azure Consultancy for a leading solutions provider
• Professional certification in Azure, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
• Proficient in Azure services, including but not limited to Hybrid Identities, Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Purview, Azure Private Link/Private Endpoint, and PAAS Databases
• Experience with cloud security, hybrid networking, and disaster recovery best practices
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or BICEP
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Experience with network security best practices and configurations
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to solve technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings

Salary Banding DOE - £70,000 to £80,000 per year (depending upon experience)

You will be working within our Azure Infrastructure Team, your primary focus will include working within our team and directly with our clients to deliver cloud infrastructure and modernisation projects as well as workshops, health checks and providing escalation support to front-line teams. This will likely include all phases of the project from planning through design to configuration, delivery, and testing.
You’ll work closely as part of a well-established team that will guide and assist you. We will also provide the requirements of your EAA to stay ahead of your profession and maintain all the required certifications to ensure you meet expert status.
