SENIOR BACKEND JAVA ENGINEER

We seek a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) with expertise in integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform! While we work remotely, this role is only open to candidates in Canada or LATAM.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of production-level experience in Java
• SOAP and RESTful Web Services and tools like XML, JSON, and RAML.
• Microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Knowledge of application Servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss.
• Strong grasp of Git, Subversion and other source control technologies.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
• Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in the financial services industry or professional services experience is a plus.
