About GlassFlow
GlassFlow is building a hands free data streaming infrastructure for modern data teams. We are an early stage VC backed startup from Berlin that is building a category defining infrastructure product from ground up. GlassFlow will enable millions of data engineers across the world to get value out of their real time events data without the pains of maintaining the underlying infrastructure. GlassFlow is supported by world class tech angels like Heikki Nousiainen (CTO Aiven), Thomas Dohmke (CEO GitHub), Sergei Sokolenko (ex Snowflake, Google).
Tasks
Your Role
As our second backend engineer you will play a key role in laying the technical foundations of GlassFlow.
In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for developing server-side applications to process events, building APIs, and integrating with external data systems. You will take end-to-end ownership of projects, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our infrastructure.
You will join a passionate and dedicated small team, solving challenging problems in the field of data engineering, and creating a product that will be used by developers across the world.

Our Tech Stack
The current tech stack is built with Go and Python for the backend and Javascript for the frontend and is kubernetes native.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE THAT COULD BE HELPFUL:

  • Experience with public or private clouds (AWS / GCP / Azure)
  • Experience with K8s, Docker, Docker Compose
  • Experience developing on and using queue systems like Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ
  • Worked in fast-growing environments or early-stage startups
