Senior Bartender

McDonnell’s Bar, Newbridge is currently seeking an experienced, professional and enthusiastic full time Senior Bartender to join our team.

The Role:
This position will require candidates to work a 40 hours per week with a mix of day and evening shifts rotating to include weekends and public holidays.

Main Duties:

• Working closely with the Bar Manager on the day-to-day operations of the busy bar service.
• Take a leading role in the bar while on duty.
• Take an active role in the development of the bar / bar trade.
• Providing excellent customer service to our customers at all times.
• Ensure excellent service standards are being delivered within the bar while on duty.
• Working behind the bar / preparing drinks.
• General bar service duties.
• Training and development of junior staff.
• HACCP / General Hygiene duties

Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Bar Service industry.
• Must be enthusiastic and have a great personality.
• Have good knowledge & understanding of the bar trade / product range.
• Have a leadership presence within the bar.
• Fluent English.
• Impeccable self-presentation
• Must be able to develop junior team members.
• Must have excellent communications and people skills.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekend shifts.
