Description:
Visionpool Business Services is hiring a REMOTE Senior BI Administrator.
Description of Duties:
- Serves as a first line of support for technical issues relating to reports or Cognos itself.
- Monitors and maintains application security.
- Enhances, and performance tunes reports, application servers.
- Provides support to reporting communities / power users.
- Works with business partners to plan new or enhance existing BI infrastructure.
- Plan Upgrades and enhancements BI environments with the assistance of product architect.
- Knowledge on third party administration product called BSP meta manager is nice to have.
Required Experience & Skills :
- Minimum 10 years of BI experience
- Experience in AWS QuickSight, Data Pipeline, DMS, and SPICE.
- SQL experience in building and analyzing queries in Oracle databases.
- Expert in administering Cognos Reporting, cubes & Cognos Framework Manager.
- Experience working with vendor customer support on issue resolution.
- Strong understanding of relational and star-schema database designs is preferred.
- Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
- Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
- Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
- Proven track record on business intelligence project delivery and demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have :
- Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
- Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
- Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
- Availability to work after hours and/or weekends and on-call, as specified by supervisor.
