Description:
The groups of Andy Jones and Dan Rigden at the University of Liverpool are recruiting for a recently funded Wellcome Trust Discovery Award, ¿Next generation genome annotation for eukaryotic pathogens and vectors, using artificial intelligence¿. In this role, we are looking for a senior bioinformatician, with expertise in machine learning and large-scale analysis (particularly genomics and/or structural bioinformatics).
You will lead the research and development of new AI approaches for gene finding and function prediction, using AlphaFold and related tools, with data dissemination via VEuPathDB.
The post is initially available for 3 years, potentially extendable to 5 years.
