MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

Perform the role of departmental Training Officer; ensuring all grades of non-medical staff receive appropriate training. The Training officer will plan and co-ordinate training and educational programs in accordance with the departmental and Trust training policies, to meet the requirements of HCPC registration, professional standards, and appropriate knowledge and skills frameworks.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• The post holder will specifically undertake the role of Department Training Officer for the entire histology department as detailed in the quality section below.
• The post-holder will also support the Operations Manager and Clinical Lead.
• They will help to implement the department’s Competency and Training portfolio and folder ensuring the staff are up to date with competency and training.
