WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Experience working in an FMCG business, including time in a matrix structure.
- Broad experience of brand management disciplines, ideally with international or global roles experience.
- Strong bias for action and high degree of personal accountability, with strong virtual / remote working and influencing skills.
- A strategic thinker, who is focused on the consumer and places them at the core of everything that they do.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, across time zones, leading projects to successful in-market delivery.
- High level of Commercial and Analytical capability; comfortable developing and presenting business cases in an organisation which can move quickly to make investment decisions based on strong logical evidence.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – doesn’t accept the status quo and looks for different, better ways of doing things
Responsibilities:
TAKE A LEAD IN SHAPING THE FUTURE OF PREMIER FOODS’ IN THIS EXCITING SENIOR BRAND MANAGER ROLE, TO DELIVER THE EXCEPTIONAL GROWTH AMBITIONS OF THE SPICE TAILOR GLOBALLY.
- Premier Foods is a leading UK Grocery player with strong momentum and ambitious plans to accelerate Internationally. Over the past 5 years we turned around our core business, became a FTSE 250 business and surpassed £1Bn in revenue.
- We’re expanding our Global footprint and the International division is a critical growth engine for the next 5 years and beyond.
- We have already successfully taken The Spice Tailor into the ANZ market (16% value share), Canada and have just launched the brand into USA and Europe.
- We see potential to drive scale within our existing markets and identify and launch into new markets over the coming years.
- We are also working on an exciting Innovation pipeline of new products & platforms to fuel our growth in our existing markets, coupled with development of the right trial and support plans.
- The right candidate will be an ambitious, entrepreneurial leader, with a solid marketing and commercial skillset and a track record delivering results, ideally in a regional or global setting. You will be a highly capable strategic thinker and adept at influencing a senior leadership team to make critical decisions. You will be comfortable analysing and deriving insights from different sources of consumer and retail insight and navigating ambiguity where you don’t have all the data.

WHAT YOU’L BE DOING?
- Lead the growth and action plans for The Spice Tailor across our International markets.
- Development and implementation, alongside our global Innovation team a long-term Innovation pipeline of products and projects to fuel our growth. This will be across Indian, Asian and other exciting cuisines.
- Lead the toolbox development (support plans) per market, making right sized communication and trial choices (e.g. TV, Digital, In-Store). The role would encompass developing more detailed launch plans and leading the launch into market.
- Own analysis and recommendation on business as per monthly business cycle – liaising with local market teams to understand business performance and ensure timely action planning.
- Collaborate effectively with the UK The Spice Tailor team to ensure global fundamentals upgrade (e.g. Equity, Style Guidelines)
- Support the Brand Director for the longer term 3/10 year strategy – with identification of where to play and how to win choices.
- You will explore what’s possible leveraging existing Premier Foods expertise, capabilities and capacity.
- You will also scope the potential opportunity for leveraging outsourced capabilities beyond existing Premier / UK scope.
- The role will involve a high level of ownership as the, making recommendations back to senior stakeholders in the business and building plans for implementation.
