Equity Energies has established relationships with many of the major energy suppliers, as well as water companies.
We are seeking a Senior Bureau Analyst with a strong background in utilities and energy management, who is analytical, proactive, and possesses exceptional attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, generating and delivering utility budgets, ensuring process efficiency, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Bureau Services team.
In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and clients to build robust and accurate budget forecasts, support junior analysts through mentorship and training, and take the lead on key initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.
The role requires experience in invoicing, validating, and customer service within a bureau service environment, as well as the ability to thrive in a high-pressure setting while managing tight deadlines.
Ideally we are looking for someone of experience of working within the Utility Broker / Consultancy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for generating and delivering utility budgets to clients, working closely with internal teams and clients to build robust and accurate budget forecasts that meet their needs and objectives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all bureau services-related queries for an allocated portfolio of clients.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy for all accounts when completing financial deliverables (e.g., reconciliations, journal recharging, payment files, payment processing, one billing, etc.).
  • Manage and oversee the workflow to ensure adherence to SLAs (service level agreements).
  • Submit multiple reports within set client KPIs.
  • Support other Bureau Services team members and assist with any additional requirements as and when required by the Head of Bureau Services.
  • Mentor and train junior analysts, fostering their development and ensuring they meet performance standards.
  • Manage and conduct drop-in sessions for internal stakeholders to provide real-time support and advice.
  • Organise and lead improvement meetings aimed at enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Regularly review processes within the Bureau Services team, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Bureau Services team, working to measure and drive team success.
  • Lead presentations and reports for senior management and clients, ensuring clear and effective communication of bureau services activities and outcomes.
  • Process utility invoices to ensure outsourced partners complete validation with high accuracy.
  • Manage queries and analyse multiple reports to drive down our clients’ carbon emissions.
  • Manage payment files and oversee payment remittances through to suppliers.
  • Respond to queries about utility invoices and client supplies, as well as supporting metering projects.
  • Collate and analyse HH and/or AMR data, then summarise your results within a high-level report to present to stakeholders and/or clients/suppliers.
  • Assist and/or compile clients’ specific reports (e.g., cost and consumption, missing invoice, accruals, budgets, floor area, service capacity, heat mapping, actual data vs. invoiced data, etc.).
  • Liaise with debt management companies to ensure clients’ supplies are not disconnected.
