Description:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist as part of the Engagement Services Team in Branch Oversight & Support - Branch Risk Services. The Senior Business Accountability Specialist role coordinates first and second - and third-line testing engagements and serves as a liaison and single point of contact between testing partners and CSBB lines of business and Control. Testing coordination work requires the ability to act as subject matter expert on risk matters, understand multiple businesses, manage senior level stakeholders in a matrixed accountability, and have a deep understanding for how the reviewer will test Branch Banking, Chief Administrative Office, and Affluent. This role requires high quality and daily interaction with key stakeholders of a senior level across the line of business, Control, Legal and Operational Risk Business Oversight to drive satisfactory results within expected timelines, including facilitation of escalations. In this role, you will:
- Coordinate all aspects of testing engagements (Audit, IT&V, Compliance, Control, COSO, etc.)
- Drive constant engagement with business process owners and control partners, as appropriate, to deliver appropriate and accurate response to information requests within established deadlines.
- Review and interpret new testing notifications and ongoing requests to determine engagement of appropriate partners throughout review lifecycle.
- Analyze, coordinate, and effectively track information requests and report testing observations/findings during fieldwork
- Coordinate and review responses to all testing observations/potential issues including draft reports
- Facilitate and/or participate in all engagement discussions including walk-throughs and business process overviews based on business process subject matter expertise.
- Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across CSBB businesses and other first second- and third-line functions
- Facilitate collaborative meetings to establish priorities and accountability for assigned initiatives, solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk mitigating strategies
- Facilitate escalations as necessary.
- Maintain master report and calendar of all testing reviews. Ensure accurate and current tracking of all testing engagements inclusive of upcoming, in progress, closed reviews and validation results.
- Cross-train to provide effective backup support for peers when necessary.
- Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business’s functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Partner with peers and the business in interactions with external parties to support appropriateness and timeliness of response, and effectiveness of communications and materials
- May serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of banking: regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures

Job Expectations:

Pay Range:
- New York City, NY- Pay Range: $100,800 - $179,200
