Description:
DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS
This position is responsible for leading the development of requirement and process documentation, facilitates testing and training.
Gathering, reviews, analyses and evaluates user needs and has responsibility for defining and managing BA methodology including process, templates and tools.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Exposure to Life Insurance industry and able to demonstrates business acumen.
- Exposure to complex technology projects.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of customer facing projects (B2B).
- Excellent communicator - written and verbal.
- Strong and demonstrated business analysis skills. Capable of breaking complex problems into parts and identify the impact of changes on other businesses and systems.
- Ability to understand technical and application documentation and interpret for business users.
- Ability to identify and differentiate between risks and issues and able to work out mitigation to reduce risks.
- Customer orientated. Able to deal with internal clients in a positive manner and help deliver technology solutions that benefit the business.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- 5 to 10 years BA experience in business driven IT project environment
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Insurance or IT
- Experience with user acceptance testing and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as primary liaison between business user teams/Technical Business Analysts and IT technical project teams.
- Manage user expectations and requirements scope.
- Lead, elicit, documents and manage functional end to end business requirements and rules, including ongoing management.
- Participate in gap analysis of functional requirements.
- Facilitate develop and agreement of the end to end business process (through stakeholder interviews, influencing and workshops), including flow charts, reports, letters, roles and responsibilities.
- Facilitate functional requirements walkthrough and respond to stakeholder and Test team ambiguity review questions.
- Review technical artefacts such as; use cases, functional specifications, reports screen prototypes, business architecture models.
- Review Test cases and coach testers to develop robust, risk based, test scenarios.
- Work closely with Project Managers, developers, test team, business user/BAs and may interact with architects
- Contribute Develop to user guides, reference manuals, training materials and code release artefacts as appropriate.
- Define and Implement BA methodology in conjunction with the PMO (tools, process and templates)
- Work on Strategic enterprise initiatives (facilitation, strategic analysis etc.)
- Maintain detailed knowledge of organisation (strategic, commercial, operational, technical)
- Provides guidance’s and advice to customers in developing end to end business process
- Lead and influence user expectations and requirements scope.
- Participate and influence gap analysis of functional requirements
- Lead functional documentation design (use cases, functional specification, reports, screen prototypes
- Actively participate, design and implement change management activities
- Works with Project Manager to ensure compliance to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Provides estimate for BA work efforts on new projects and for ongoing forecasting
