Are you a Senior Business Analyst with strong business wealth and investment acumen, technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and exceptional Business Analysis abilities? Our large Alberta-based financial client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12 month contract.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements
Lead the Business Analysis activities including working with other BAs for a large-scale, multiple application digital Wealth customer experience platform.
Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
Analyze business requirements to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct gap analysis to assess the differences between the current state and the desired state of the system, highlighting areas for enhancement.
Develop use cases and user stories to capture the functional requirements of the system, ensuring that all user needs are met.
Create data models and process flows to document business processes, ensuring that the system aligns with existing workflows.
Identify and document non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, scalability, and usability.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive requirements traceability matrix to ensure that all requirements are accounted for and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with the development team to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the system meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
Actively participate in system testing to validate that the system meets the business requirements and user expectations.
Assist with training end-users on the new system, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to use the system effectively.
Strong understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience documenting complex technical APIs and system integrations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and challenges proactively.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as use case modeling, data modeling, and requirements traceability.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the banking industry with a lending focus.
Experience or understanding with these solutions: Salesforce, Oak, Google Big Query.
Experience in website development is an asset.
Experience with COTS solutions.
