TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION, YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE IN THE FOLLOWING:

• Leading and managing changes to business processes and computer applications;
• Conducting feasibility studies and developing business cases that review existing services or processes, determining future business needs or opportunities and recommending strategies that satisfy client needs and objectives;
• Assisting clients in gathering business requirements and preparing requirements documents;
• Monitoring current, new, and emerging services;
• Evaluating industry trends and analyzing similar service offerings in other jurisdictions to identify opportunities and develop strategies for continued business/service improvement;
• Write a variety of detailed, accurate and clear technical material such as user and systems requirements;
• Incorporate new technology and create new solutions within a constantly changing technological and business environment;
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with customers and team members
• Work independently to meet the needs of clients and co-workers and to build productive, positive work relationships;
• Provide excellent customer service through strong interpersonal skills;
• Quickly gain understanding of key business processes and respond to changes within the business environment.
  The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or related area of study; and/or applicants with an IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification, or PMI-PBA, supplemented with experience. In addition to educational requirements; you will have a minimum of 5 years working experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within an integrated support environment. Completion of a recognized project management certificate or designation would be considered an asset as well as working within an integrated IT/Health support environment.
  Knowledge of business needs analysis/business process improvement methodologies, tools and processes and an understanding of project management methodologies and processes will significantly contribute to one’s success in this position.

YOU WILL HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Strategic and project planning techniques and methodologies;
• Database analysis;
• Requirements analysis and solution design techniques;
• Computer software testing methodologies.

TECHNICAL

• Ability to design new or adapt existing systems/applications, taking into account design alternatives, business requirements, and cost, recourse and time constraints.
• Broad knowledge of all health system programs and policies in order to analyze and evaluate what applications/system changes are required; develop base testing criteria; analyze the implications of proposed changes; integrating various system changes with changes to policies and procedures.
• Current knowledge of emerging methods, procedures, tools, technology and techniques within the industry.

Reporting to the Manager, Surgical and Tertiary Care Services, eHealth Saskatchewan is looking for a confident, motivated, and results oriented individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills for the position of Senior Business Analyst.
The Senior Business Analyst provides the vital link between the business side of the solution and the technology side of the solution. The Senior Business Analyst takes the conceptual design, bringing it to the physical implementation, while at the same time considering the impacts on the enterprise architecture. They will drive the project team to achieve consensus about the content and design of the solution among the demands of their other roles and justify the approach to the project stakeholders. This role is responsible for providing business improvement services to eHealth Saskatchewan. A key role is to assist with translating eHealth’s corporate vision and needs into desired outcomes through the deployment of information technology.
The ideal candidate will be technically sound, with a broad base of knowledge, experience and the ability to relate the technical issues to the underlying needs of the business. They will provide guidance to the development team on the specific business requirements and processes requested in the solution and will be able to grasp the implications of technical details very rapidly and understand their inter-relationships and the impact on the environment into which the solution will be deployed. The Senior Business Analyst will also be able to discuss those impacts with the project stakeholders to quickly resolve any conflicts between the proposed solution and the enterprise architecture.
