Description:
Role profile:
LSEG is in the process of launching a series Post Trade services which expand beyond the traditional core clearing businesses.
As part of the effort to launch new products and services within the new Post Trade Division, LSEG is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst within Product Development, based in London, and will be responsible for working with the existing Post Trade Solutions team members to develop and implement new products within the service.
The ideal candidate will have foundational OTC derivatives knowledge, product ownership and business analyst experience and be familiar and experienced delivering within Agile frameworks
The role requires individuals to work closely with internal and external partners to ensure queries and issues are followed through to resolution. There are significant growth opportunities for the business and as such the role would suit a highly motivated individual who is keen to work in a multifaceted environment.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Support future innovation and development of products and services, contributing to overall business growth and expansion of service capabilities, primarily under guidance from the Product Development Lead.
- Produces documents to codify end user requirements, including product and solution specifications
- Supports analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of technology product development
- Provides information, analysis and reporting to support the identification of new technology opportunities
- Assesses and tests implemented client technology solutions are operational and performing as required
- Evaluates new technology developments and evolving business requirements to recommend appropriate alternatives and / or improvements to current systems.
- Supports the preparation of communications to customers regarding new and improved technology solutions
- Produces quality documentations to facilitate review, and reengineering work based on inputs / feedbacks from various parties
- Identifies and help manage project risks and issues
Crucial experience and skills required:
- Ability to participate in the full Agile delivery process including story writing, defining acceptance criteria, refining backlogs, sprint planning and performing Product Owner testing
- Ability to understand technical implementation of end to end processes including interactions and dependencies between processes and systems and services
- Experience of working on large business critical projects
- Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail
- Strong computational skills such as MS Excel
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Proactive and driven.
- Able to manage workload/ priorities and ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Ideal Experience
- Working in a delivery role for middle-office or similar area of an investment bank, institutional investment manager, clearing organisation, or similar financial institution.
- Working as a business analysis or Product Owner in a Scrum team
- Understanding of existing Post Trade OTC trade processes including relevant market infrastructure, OTC Rates especially relevant
- Handling messages or supporting systems which process FpML message structures.
Understanding of the current industry inefficiencies/challenges across Rates landscape and achievable views on what can be done better going forward.
