Description:
Quartech is looking for a multi-faceted and dynamic Senior Business Analyst who will be the vital link between the technology team and our client(s). The Senior Business Analyst exudes strong analytical thinking and skills, elicits business and functional requirements, creates test strategies and scripts, builds strong user stories to support technical requirements and works within in key project methodologies such as agile, waterfall and hybrid Scrumfall. Working with the project team, the Business Analyst will lead transformation activities, support deployments, and play a key role by supporting the client product owner. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding complex business problems and conducting research and analysis in order to come up with solutions that help our clients achieve successful project outcomes.
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 annually. *We’re looking for both Senior and Intermediate candidates
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Elicit, analyze, and validate business needs of key stakeholders
- Gather requirements via interviews, questionnaires, surveys, storyboards, or other methods
- Lead user story creation and definition workshops to gathering functional specifications
- Assist in backlog grooming and sprint planning
- Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and/or the project team
- Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
- Research technical solutions, and analyze options, risks, cost benefits and support requirements
- Conduct and lead User Acceptance Testing
- Conduct cost-benefits/feasibility analysis, and ROI to evaluate systems design/enhancement proposals and other business initiatives
- Provide input on data integrity and data structure related issues and standards
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Diploma in computer sciences, business administration or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Knowledge of data flows and data structure
- Experience with technology implementation
- Experience in conducting market and user research
- Experience in writing detailed requirements documents or agile-based user stories
- Excellent knowledge and experience using various user testing methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Highly collaborative with excellent communication, facilitation, teamwork, conflict resolution skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills and aptitude to understand process driven approach
