As Senior Analyst, you will devise and manage reporting for the debt collection process. The reporting will give a greater visibility of individual agency performance and activity undertaken. This is to reduce the overall debt levels incurred by the business.
With accountability for root cause analysis, business improvement and change, reporting, identification and establishment of effective process controls, the definition and recommendation of improvements for senior management approval, you will manage customer account and data analysis to identify emerging trends and the root cause of debt through energy supply.
Managing the way that business processes are devised, trained and implemented around SAP Dunning and actions that impact on debt collection, you will use existing business knowledge and technical expertise to problem solve and process design, ensuring recommended solutions are effective.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the programme analysis of process defects, through detailed trend and data analysis across all Customer Business process inputs and outputs
  • Manage and lead root cause analysis, idea generation and subsequent implementation and review of robust business solutions aimed at delivering quality across all relevant processes including, but not limited to, the following: -
  • Debt recovery and debt mitigation
  • Compliance with Regulatory supply license
  • Quality and process and Policy adherence
  • Areas of debt that are not progressing through dunning, through defects or non-best practice use of dunning locks, blocks, pro-forma or instalment plans
  • Processes within the collections area such as visits, warrant, letters, Debt Collection Agencies
  • The Business Rules Framework for SAP Dunning
  • Lead the analysis, reporting, improvement reviews and development of business improvement plans, assisting the senior managers within the department in implementing and delivering solutions to improve process outputs and customer experience
  • Lead analysis and recommendations for improvement in relation to team resource, demand, backlog clearance, productivity, quality and value across all key departmental processes for all customer segments and dunning processes
  • Responsible for the project management of, and recommended solutions through to successful implementation for own activities
  • Proactive analysis of KPIs / CTQs to identify trends and issues, ensuring where appropriate these are included in departmental improvement plans
  • Development of reports using a variety of systems such as Business Objects and MS Excel to monitor business performance
  • Participate in other Energy Retail business improvement projects as required

What you’ll bring

  • A strong understanding of SAP and Dunning strategies and collection steps
  • A good understanding of debt collection practices and processes
  • Knowledge of SAP Dunning configuration tables and practices
  • The ability to understand complexity quickly and make sound decisions with confidence and clarity based on that understanding within a complex and fast moving environment with multiple demands and priorities
  • Proven track record in delivering change initiatives and plans which add value to customers, shareholders and employees
  • Well developed project and programme management skills and experience of leading change
  • Strong experience in utilities industry with a clear understanding of the complexities inherent in the de-regulated electricity and gas markets
  • Proven ability to execute day to day operating plans and the ability to lead, incept, develop, coordinate manage and execute forward looking business improvement plans and initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Criteria:

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and record of data analysis
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads while focussing on quality and delivery to agreed timelines
  • Good knowledge of six sigma and lean process improvement tools, techniques and a proven ability to recommend and help deliver business improvement change plans using these
  • Proficient in Power BI for data visualisation and business intelligence reporting
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying and management
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics for date processing
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and practices
  • Ability to create and manage data pipelines
  • Skilled in writing complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data
  • Understanding of data modelling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  • Experience in developing and optimizing data solutions
