Description:

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO), is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to manage and oversee the coordination of programs with the Business Intelligence (BI) team.
This position will coordinate and communicate between the program managers within the office and the BI team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is willing to learn, ask questions, show curiosity, and care about the projects they work on. This will be done in close collaboration between team members and functional experts. The role is responsible for a wide range of business and project management duties which may include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) Provide overall business project direction to include approved scope, schedules and business impacts:
(2) Coordinate with internal and external partners; review work to ensure that the project meets operational requirements;
(3) Coordinate and work closely with technical and business team leaders and management;
(4) Ensure projects are within acceptable scopes, time lines, budgets, standards, and quality;
(5) Identify and coordinate with supervisor for needed technical resources;
(6) Evaluate requests to determine the the priority of phases/modules to be developed;
(7) Plan and prepare status reports to the appropriate customers, partners, and management;
(8) Review detailed work plans such as program onboarding, time lines, task assignments of technical and business team members, and progress reports. Communicate progress and constraints/issues/exceptions to all necessary project partners.
(9) Coordinate and provide for the final proposal (and sign off if required) for deliverables of the project plan including; user acceptance testing, test cases, timeline, and finished product.
(10) Document and organize technical procedures for using the Salesforce CRM
(11) Facilitate training of Salesforce users on the system
No specific degree or certificate is required for this position, however, preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated work histories in and around the IT or project management areas. A willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude will be helpful for this position. Salesforce is our CRM System of Record.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input for continuous improvement in all aspects of the Salesforce CRM
  • Work with the BI Director and program managers to estimate the impact of changes to projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the projects assigned by the BI Director
  • Respond to inquiries and requests made by others regarding the program or procedure in question
  • Analyze, summarize, review data, report findings, interpret results, and make recommendations
