ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Senior Business Architect, you lead Target Operating Model (TOM) engagements with selected business areas to examine their current state, help define their future state and North Star strategy, identify opportunities to advance towards the future state and provide a high-level cost/benefit perspective on each prioritized opportunity. Working from a capability perspective, you will build the business area’s capability inventory and establish a plan to evolve these capabilities to support their North Star strategy, which includes a technology strategy in partnership with IT architecture.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Working within Canadian Operations on one business area at a time, you will perform the following:

  • Lead Target Operating Model engagements to help business leaders express their strategy and path to their North Star.
  • Lead workshops and perform observations to assess the current state, pain points and gaps against the target future state
  • Assist in the identification and prioritization of a list of opportunities to close the gaps and help the team advance towards its future state
  • Provide a high-level cost/benefit assessment for each prioritized opportunity
  • Map each business area’s journeys, products, value streams, and request types to the underlying Canadian Operations capability inventory
  • Determine how to evolve each capability for greatest business value and client experience (automating, sharing across business areas, mirroring offshore, eliminating low-value demand, etc.)
  • Work with IT architects to select the underlying technology/platform that will be used to evolve each business capability
  • Show and track progress and impact on the overall Canadian Operations strategy by contributing to the capability roadmap and capability dashboard
