Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team. You will be supporting the Financial Services sector and Banking and Lender Services Group. You will work closely with Business Development Managers, as well as the wider marketing and business development team.
As a Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to deliver market leading sales activities to support the firm’s ambitious growth strategy.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate or equivalent with BD/marketing experience in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills - gains respect and credibility quickly.
  • Enthusiastic, confident, pro-active and robust.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of using BD/marketing technologies (e.g. CRM systems, email marketing platforms, webinar services and website/intranet content management systems) would be advantageous.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and a keen interest in developing your knowledge of TLT, the legal sector and the clients that we support.
  • Good humoured and positive outlook.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales enablement
  • Supporting the creation and progression of sales pipelines for targeting new clients and identifying opportunities to cross-sell services to existing clients.
  • Working on a variety of sub-sector and team business development and client plans and attending team meetings to progress these.
  • Producing credentials documents, proposals and pitch presentations to support winning new business. Experience of writing good proposals and small tender documents is advantageous.
  • Assisting in the launch to market of new services and solutions.
  • Support our Bids team and Business Development Managers on formal bid opportunities including maintaining a library of precedent text for bids through our pitch management system.
  • Communications and events
  • Assisting with marketing communications including sector reports, e-marketing updates, social media and website content, legal directory and award submissions.
  • Working with the Campaigns and BD managers on the development of marketing and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Assisting in the creation of internal communications including regular updates, intranet articles and sector reports.
  • Working with the Events team and assisting, when required, in the running of sector and legal services events (virtual, in-person and hybrid), hosted events, corporate hospitality and internal events and attending to support as and when required.
  • Assisting in the management and maintenance of data used for client relationship management.
  • Assisting with the production of videos, podcasts and other forms of digital content
  • Working with our Press Office to identify opportunities and capitalising on PR opportunities
  • Managing the budget/costs and payments to external suppliers associated to marketing activity you undertake.
  • Relationship management
  • Assisting with the development of client plans and implementing actions from client team meetings to help grow client relationships and win new work.
  • Working closely with industry bodies to develop our relationships, sponsorship opportunities and on events and other activities.
  • Create your own network of intermediaries, targets and client contacts and use these to share communications and support lead generation and relationship building activity.
