Description:

Role Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Working from the office in North York 4 times/week.

Role Overview: The Manager of Business Development on Lifemark’s Corporate Development Team is responsible for the following:

  • Analyze the current Canadian physiotherapy and rehabilitation space and develop Lifemark’s multi-year acquisition plan with support from SVP and Snr Director, Corp Dev
  • Develop and lead Corporate Development events and PR activity
  • Ongoing market analysis and report of market trends
  • Oversee and drive BD lead performance, lead generation, and conversion
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities

This role requires a dedicated focus on the company’s landscape, including emerging trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics. The Manager will develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive leads, foster partnerships, and enhance the organization’s position in the Canadian marketplace through acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the organization’s overall objectives and acquisition growth targets in the healthcare sector.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify expansion opportunities, and assess market trends and competitive threats.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers, industry associations, advisors, and other relevant organizations to explore collaboration opportunities.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships that align with the organization’s corporate development strategic priorities.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential partners, showcasing the organization’s capabilities and value proposition.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, and provide regular updates to senior management on progress against targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA) preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development roles.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading business development teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results in a highly competitive market.
