JOB OVERVIEW

Priva Building Automation UK is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to lead sales efforts through national specification channels, building a strong community of Priva fans. This role is designed for a motivated and organised sales professional who excels at driving sales by identifying and converting new business opportunities across the UK through targeted specification sales.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly Organised: This role requires conducting meetings across London, the Midlands, and the North. The individual must be adept at managing their schedule to ensure comprehensive nationwide coverage.
  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in Smart Building Technology, BMS, or a related field.
  • Proven Success: A strong track record of developing business with key end users, consultants, and main contractors across the UK.
  • Skills: Excellent presentation and analytical skills, coupled with a strong commercial and technical understanding of BMS control systems.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the HVAC controls market and a keen understanding of industry dynamics.
  • Driven Personality: A confident, driven, and energetic individual with a passion for selling innovative building automation solutions.
  • Team Player: Highly motivated, self-reliant, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Commercial Awareness: Solid commercial acumen with an awareness of market trends and opportunities.
  • IT Literate: Competent with IT systems, including CRM, and holds a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Convert: Actively seek out and transform potential new end users, consultants, and contractors into long-term partners of Priva’s advanced building automation solutions.
  • Drive Business Development: Cultivate and expand relationships with end-users, consultants, and contractors, strategically boosting Priva’s national presence and market share.
  • Increase Market Share: Amplify the adoption of Priva products and services among existing end users nationwide, ensuring enduring partnerships and loyalty.
  • Market Expansion: Research and explore new markets and applications to generate additional sales opportunities for Priva’s innovative solutions.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong, lasting business relationships with specifiers, key accounts, and end users. Manage strategic relationships with a select few key installer accounts with national coverage.
  • Collaborate to Secure Sales: Partner closely with account managers and tech support to secure sales, taking full ownership of end-to-end sales opportunities.
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead NPI activities focused on Priva’s exciting and growing solutions portfolio, including bGrid and eco Building, to accelerate adoption and secure sustainable growth.
  • Promote Priva Solutions: Represent Priva at conferences, meetings, and industry events across the UK, showcasing our leading-edge building automation solutions.
  • Educate the Market: Organise and lead CPD workshops, webinars, and training sessions for key end users, consultants, and contractors, enhancing their understanding and engagement with Priva’s offerings.
  • Contribute to Strategy: Play an integral role in shaping and implementing BMS strategies through research, business development, and providing feedback.
  • Enhance Brand Awareness: Participate in brand development by creating and disseminating content across Priva’s communication channels, expanding our influence and awareness.
  • Maintain CRM Integrity: Keep the CRM system up to date with all pre-sales activities, including projects, technical profiles, customer visits, and account plans, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
