Description:

Are you interested in the application of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare? We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who help our customers understand the value, efficacy, and improvement opportunities to support Javalin, our AI-powered utilization management tool. You will structure and model data, build interfaces (e.g. reports, dashboards), and support decision making to improve the quality and efficiency of claim reimbursement processes for dental practices.

The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $95,160.00 – $135,000.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $76,830.00 - $109,000.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate’s geographic location.

  • Collaborate directly with Javalin customers to understand their unique data processes and policies.
  • Analyze and recommend modifications to data and claims flow to optimize the use of Javalin, providing detailed insights into the return on investment and enhanced operational efficiencies.
  • Uses various reporting and analytic tools (SSMS, Snowflake, Smartsheet, Tableau, SSRS) to perform statistical analysis and visualization of data to build actionable insights and support decision-making that guide strategic decisions.
  • Uses SSRS, SSMS, Snowflake, and SQL languages to build and optimize data query scripts and stored procedures for development of databases
  • Query, scrub, prepare, and analyze data to discern patterns, trends, and potential opportunities.
  • Develops meaningful dashboards, presentations, and models to into strategic insights that inform company policies and initiatives.
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote a culture of data-driven decision making.
  • Implement and oversee data governance practices to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop policies for data use and ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Work closely with senior management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Find opportunities for process improvements within analytic tools and systems, advocating for and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy in data handling and analysis.
  • Develop context and insights to share with the product team to validate and drive future activities and product advancements
  • Identify and integrate new data sources (both structured and unstructured) to develop recommendations for product enhancements
  • Prototype and structure data sets for performant data sharing

Experience, skills, and education do you need to have to succeed in the position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

  • 7+ years of experience of applying SQL, Snowflake, and R to data modeling and integration, preferably healthcare data
  • Experience capturing requirements across multiple applications and business functions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively fostering productive collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • 7+ years’ experience in developing robust analytic solutions from design/prototype through implementation
  • Proficiency in visual analysis using applications like Tableau, Excel, R/Python or other similar applications
  • Ability to develop and modify queries to extract large amounts of data for standard and ad-hoc data requests.
  • Ability to lead an organization through change by leveraging data and analytics.
  • Experience presenting data insights using plain language to emphasize key points or recommendations.
