Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with SQL (contract)

We are seeking to appoint a BI Analyst in a 12 month contract, to collaborate with an international team and work from our offices in Welgemoed (Northern suburbs of Cape Town).

KEY ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure maintenance of the BI platform, including users’ management.
• Monitor the processes and data flows and bug fixing.
• New Release testing.
• Document, design, implement and reconcile solutions.
• Enrich the existing data model based on changes happening in the source.
• Work in collaboration with the BI team and the end users to propose the best analytics to meet the needs.
• Lead the BI team.
• Take ownership on projects and stories, communicate the progress with the project team and the BI team.
• Update stories, and log the time based on the activities.
• Quality review of the developments done by the team and advise on the architecture and the presentation.
• Guarantor and mentor of best practices adoption.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science and higher.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and a programming language.
• 7+ years of experience of BI solutions, including ETL and vizu tools.
• 5+ years working with end users to define requirements and propose solutions.
• Experience with one of these tools: Salesforce / Tableau / CRM Analytics / Python / Snowflake.
