JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Senior SAP BI Engineer, you will take ownership of our SAP BI architecture, joining the team of experienced and talented engineers, and managing end-to-end BI solutions that empower our business. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization, promoting data-driven decision-making through optimized and innovative BI solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in BI and Reporting or a similar field.
  • Extensive experience in SAP BW, SAP BO, and SAP HANA.
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming and SQL.
  • Experience with DataServices, Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including planning, and BI-IP is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data flow design, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP BW dataflows and integrations, including building aDSOs, Composite Providers, and Calculation Views (both graphical & SQL script-based), OpenHub, Open ODS, Transformations and related routines.
  • Manage the SAP BW, SAP HANA, and SAP BO applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability from an application perspective.
  • Activate, configure, and enhance Generic and Business Content Extractors across various functional areas.
  • Oversee performance optimization through query monitoring tools, indexing, partitioning, and statistical analysis.
  • Develop ABAP and AMDP programs, including user exits, function modules, and routines to support dataflows and business processes.
  • Coordinate with other BI engineers and development teams to enhance queries and build dashboards.
  • Implement and manage SAP notes to ensure system stability and security.
  • Serve as the technical lead on BI development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • Support junior BI Engineers with the knowledge and experience, creating collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Evaluate and prototype new SAP BI technologies, such as Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and BI-IP, to drive continuous innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide training on BI technologies and solutions.
