ABOUT US

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join UCL’s Service Excellence function to lead our participation in the flagship benchmarking and best practice sharing UniForum programme, as well as other benchmarking data programmes, where relevant.
Our Service Excellence function is part of the Professional Services Hub which brings together key customer facing and transactional services across different functions: HR, Finance, Commercial, Faculty, Research, Estates, IT & Business Operations. The PS Hub is committed to delivering high quality & efficient services, with a real emphasis on customer experience.
The University’s Professional Services, which the Hub is a part of, brings together colleagues who perform their work while sitting in the Hub but also outside by binding them together in a common framework of tools, methods, technologies and performance standards.

ABOUT YOU

You will have strong track record of effective stakeholder engagement and management skills, to ensure timely and accurate information gathering, as well as usage of insight to inform strategy. You will have experience of working well with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively to a wide audience and the ability to coach, engage, encourage and bring along stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
You will have experience of successfully delivering programmes and projects within a complex organisation, using a variety of programme and project management methodologies, principles and techniques.
We are seeking individuals who invest in their personal development as well as the wider team, to support the ongoing maturity of Service Excellence and UCL as a whole.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will expertly lead UCL’s participation in the UniForum programme enabling us to build the right capabilities across our professional services, drive continuous improvement in our operations, and learn from other leading Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the world.
We are looking for people with strong organisational skills and project management skills with a robust understanding of data analysis. Fundamental to this role is a successful track record of stakeholder engagement and management, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
You will effectively engage and influence colleagues across UCL to make sure that the evidence and insights from our benchmarking programmes, such as UniForum, are used effectively to identify where value can be added by reinvesting or re-focussing our resources.
