This position will serve as a reimbursement and financial analyst for University Physicians. The role of this position is to support departments by providing services of financial and business analysis to perform root cause analysis and develop sound implementation plans.
Perform financial consulting and analysis to include expense/revenue, reimbursement changes, payer concerns, Accounts Receivable allowance analysis, clinician performance, financial projections, and other various revenue cycle issues as it relates to department performance.
Develop complex financial scenarios and analyze trends to support various departments and leadership teams across the health system. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Prepare annual clinical budgets and monitor budget variances for all departments to include productivity and financial outcomes. Works closely with SOM and MUHC during annual budget process to ensure alignment is accurate.
Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, coding, patient accounts, and clinical teams. Provide training and support to staff as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Healthcare Finance Professional (CHFP), 3-5 yrs of finance and accounting experience working within healthcare professional reimbursement.
