QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 8 years of experience in materials procurement and vendor management in the aerospace industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
• High attention to details.
• Organised and ability to follow through from sourcing to delivery.
• Pro-active, results oriented and self-driven.
• Able to work independently and make sound decision based on data.
• Proficient in use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.

• To source and procure materials in the most cost effective and time efficient manner to meet organisation needs.
• Ensure compliance of the company standards on purchasing policies and procedures.
• Plan and coordinate timely delivery of purchases to meet organisation on time delivery requirements.
• Maintain database for materials, vendors, prices & expenditures.
• Responsible for driving cost savings without compromising the overall quality, mitigate risk of single source by expanding vendor base, i.e. qualify new vendors; and be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of vendors in terms of delivery and product quality.
• Participate in material review and ensure material issues are elevated and resolved in a timely manner
• Participate actively in continuous improvement programs and take initiative to enhance material planning process
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and finance etc
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time
