Job Title: Senior C/C++ Engineer
Location: Cork City (hybrid)
Contract Type: Contract basis
Years Experience: 11+ years required
Summary: Our Tech client in Cork City is looking to hire a Senior C/C++ Engineer. An ideal candidate for this position hold 11+ years experience with five of these years experience in Kernal Programming. They will bring broad experience across multiple domains including embedded systems, operating systems, storage technologies and distributed systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • More than 11+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proficient in C/C++ coding with a thorough understanding of kernel fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming principles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in kernel programming.
  • Familiarity with networking and file/cloud protocols.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded systems and file systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Oversee the technical aspects of stakeholder interactions for the team.
  • Offer guidance on development and testing tasks that involve multiple dependencies.

  • Conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and research activities
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software design and development through reviews.
