Senior Caregiver/PSW - Little Italy

JOB SUMMARY

This shift is 5-7pm Monday to Friday. Do not apply if you cannot make this work. The client is in Little Italy
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while ensuring the well-being of those under your care.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home care, hospice care, or assisted living is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
• Experience working with patients suffering from dementia or other cognitive challenges is highly valued.
• A background in nursing or related healthcare fields can enhance your application but is not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential for success in this role.

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can engage in social activities or appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness in living areas, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Document client care activities accurately and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments by using effective communication techniques tailored to their needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for each client.
