Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to our Team Lead, our Senior Case Assessors conduct Quality of Advice Review Case Assessments with respect to various Advisers. This includes forming an opinion on the appropriateness of the advice provided as well as the counterfactual approach to assist in determining detriment where inappropriate advice has been determined.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct case-level advice review assessments in accordance with Insignia’s methodology framework, and formulate appropriate counterfactuals when inappropriate advice is observed
  • Participate in peer reviews of other assessors’ outcomes and calculation results
  • Contribute to the development of individual or holistic methodology solutions
  • Represent assessment views in various forums as necessary
  • Maintain a high throughput of case production
  • Engage with potentially impacted clients to address issues and agree on potential outcomes

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • Extensive experience as a senior case assessor in large-scale structured remediation programs
  • Significant experience in an advisory role, advice compliance, or professional standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying an assessment methodology framework to distinct and unique cases
  • Ideally, RG 146 compliant
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory obligations related to financial services and the provision of advice
  • Deep understanding of Authorised Representative obligations and responsibilities
  • Commitment to integrity and honesty
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly
