THE OPPORTUNITY
At Sephora, we’re more than a beauty retailer—we’re a community that pushes boundaries and makes an impact. As the Senior Category Analyst for Sephora UK, you’ll be at the forefront of our business transformation, turning data into actionable insights that shape the future of beauty. In this newly created role, you’ll play a vital part in translating data into strategic insights that drive our business decisions and elevate our product offerings. By diving deep into internal category performance and external market trends, you’ll empower the Category team to make informed choices that enhance Sephora’s presence across the UK.
You Will Also Be Responsible For:
- Analyzing sales and consumer trends using both internal data and external market insights to identify shifts and uncover opportunities.
- Going beyond the numbers to propose strategic initiatives, conduct long-term forecasting, and pinpoint areas where Sephora can lead in the market.
- Partnering with Category Managers to support margin negotiations by providing prep materials and financial models for discussions with new and existing brand partners.
- Driving bottom-line improvements by assessing the impact of various negotiation scenarios and shaping our approach to financial terms.
- Supporting strategic presentations with data-driven insights that inform key business decisions and drive regional growth.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
We’re looking for a data-driven expert who thrives on transforming complex information into clear, actionable insights. Your advanced analytical skills and attention to detail will help guide strategic decisions that elevate Sephora’s position in the market. You’ll be a key partner to the Category team, using your expertise to shape business plans and support negotiations with brand partners.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess:
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data extraction and reporting using SAP, BI systems, Retail Pro, or similar software.
- Extensive experience in analytics, ideally within a retail environment.
- Strong analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for translating data into actionable insights.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative, enthusiasm, and the drive to contribute to Sephora’s ongoing success.
If you’re excited about leveraging data to shape the future of beauty and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
