Ownership

As our Senior Category Buyer you will be responsible for the development and execution of European Category and Sourcing Strategies for technology-related products and services. This position plays a crucial role in managing supplier relationships and ensuring optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) for technology procurement.

What will you be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategies by creating and executing the European Category Strategy and roadmap for technology procurement, ensuring alignment with global category strategies and supporting their execution.
  • Manage relationships with key technology suppliers and maintain a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework.
  • Collaborate with global procurement teams, local budget owners, and commercial stakeholders to maximize value through strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and manage contract performance, price variance, and ensure timely renewals while implementing global and zone contracts where applicable.
  • Continuously assess the technology supply market, identify key trends, threats, and opportunities, and engage with suppliers to meet internal requirements.
  • Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects, including RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, e-auctions, and negotiations, to secure the best terms for technology procurement.
  • Develop business award scenarios, present sourcing results, and ensure the implementation of negotiated contracts.
  • Challenge existing procurement processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and procurement outcomes.
  • Initiate and co-manage value creation efforts and innovation projects with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on the latest technology trends.
  • Ensure adherence to global and zone procurement policies and suggest improvements for better governance and compliance.
  • Work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and compliance with internal policies
  • Engage with technology suppliers and other external partners to ensure alignment with business goals and procurement targets.

What you’ll bring:

  • Fluency in English C1 Level
  • University degree, preferably in Technology, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 3+ years in procurement, with specific experience in technology procurement or related fields.
  • Manage complex projects and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Understanding of technology markets, including software, hardware, and IT services, is a strong asset.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement processes, e-sourcing tools, and contract management.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and drive cross-functional collaboration.
