In the past few years, we grown considerably, with a 20% increase of our Fulkers team in just the past 12 months! We are now expanding our team and are looking for a Senior CDM Principal Designer to join us, working on a hybrid basis from our London office.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ideally chartered in CMIOSH/CMaPS/MIFRS/MCIOB or working towards gaining chartership
- A number of years of experience in a similar role
- Expert knowledge of CDM 2015 implementation
- Expert knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Extensive experience of using a wide range of tools and processes within your role; from simple and effective risk registers to sophisticated risk modelling software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgement and ability to consider all facts and make a decision that benefits the Client
- Able to support H&S/CDM Consultants with their work and development.
- Able to support the H&S Services Director growing the team, increasing work winning and supporting on project delivery.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in the delivery of the services for multiple projects at any one time.
Responsibilities:
- Act as knowledge experts, remain current and in the ‘know’ of changes within your field
- Proactive approach to take initiative and identify new opportunities
- Undertake the role of Principal Designer / CDM / PD Consultant under the CDM Regulations
- Providing Health & Safety consultancy services to clients
- Preparation of fee proposals – attendance at Client presentations if required
- Executing and completing projects and providing point of contact for client(s)
- Ensuring projects are technically correct and delivered in a timely manner ensuring they are in line with budgetary requirements
- Write and submit technically sound and commercially focussed proposals and reports
- Provide extensive guidance to the Company and clients of current and emerging legislation
- Communicate on appropriate technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of clients
- Ensure that all work is produced within time and budget constraints
- Maintain and develop relationships with current and new clients and manage their expectations.
- Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within the Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
- Any other duties as reasonably required of my role
