Senior Cheminformatics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cheminformatics Engineer to join our remote team.
Your role will involve contributing to the development and maintenance of cheminformatics tools, such as rdkit, while also demonstrating a strong understanding of chemistry principles. We are looking for the candidates with the one of two following qualifications:
Option 1:
Degree in CS
3+ years experience working with cheminformatics tools, e.g. rdkit.
Understands chemistry
Strong engineering skills including github, CI/CD, etc
Option 2:
Degree in Chemistry
Production experience working with cheminformatics tools, e.g. rdkit
Ability to code in Python and/or Java on Middle level

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Chemistry, with relevant experience in cheminformatics
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cheminformatics tools, such as rdkit
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with the ability to write code at a Middle level
• Strong understanding of chemistry principles and their application in software development
• Strong engineering skills including github, CI/CD, etc
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cheminformatics tools, leveraging Python, Java, and AWS
• Apply chemistry principles to enhance the functionality and performance of cheminformatics applications
• Collaborate with the cheminformatics team to advance software engineering capabilities
• Contribute to the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for efficient software development processes
