Overview:
To reinforce our commercial team, we’re looking for a Chemistry Account Manager covering the north-east of Italy and Emilia Romagna. As a Chemistry Account Manager you will be responsible for a territory of varied accounts which will be fulfilled through a combination of run rate business as well as identifying and working with customers looking to develop new methods and rectify issues they may have with their lab workflow.
Within a typical week our Chemistry Account Managers will review their overall run rate year to date, analyse their revenue of strategic and smaller accounts to determine areas of focus and customer visits. This activity requires strong account management, customer service and rapport building skills as well as an ability to talk through a customer’s chemistry workflow and application.

  • Ensuring the health of your current territory - approaching new and existing customers, customer visits, delivering workshops on customer sites, providing technical advise to customers reviewing their chemistry needs.
  • Reviewing your pipeline – assessing YTD figures, reviewing contracts due to expire/renew and responding to inbound requests.
  • Assessing future pipeline- evaluating customers who are analysing their chemistry processes and how Waters chemistry consumables can support their improvements.

Being a Chemistry Account Manager involves travel throughout the territory of responsibility and brings you a great degree of flexibility in how you manage your accounts and how you work in the field!
This is a great opportunity to have visibility across a mix of customers operating in different markets and a great opportunity to learn loads along the way. There are multiple avenues to grow further in Waters both within the role and beyond depending on what you would like to do - this could be within systems sales, marketing or in one of our more technical positions.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • You may have worked in a lab previously developing methods or had a sales position and be used to chemistry workflows and applications. Both are great for us in this role!
  • Knowledge and relevant qualification in Analytical Chemistry or Biology with knowledge of Liquid Chromatography and Sample Preparation
  • Food and environmental expertise would be a plus
  • A proactive individual committed to customer service and passionate about making processes more efficient and reliable.
  • Great problem solving skills to support our customers address some of their chemistry challenges
