SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years’ practical design experience in an Australian consulting environment
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• Ability to network, maintain, and build professional relationships
• Ability to lead and manage staff and collaborate with other disciplines across the organisation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Professional registration (CPEng)
• Extensive experience in surface water modelling and management, and the design of stormwater, sewer, and water reticulation in urban developments
• Experience in DRAINS, MUSIC, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS
• Design/draft skills using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

The successful candidate’s role will have a strong emphasis on design, and the management of projects and design teams. The candidate will be required to:

• undertake civil engineering design, review, and project management for a wide range of projects including land development and other civil infrastructure
• manage client relationships on allocated projects
• conduct site inspections
• manage design projects from inception through to completion within agreed timeframes and budgets
• work effectively and harmoniously with all levels of staff and management
• prepare high quality proposals, reports, documents, and other deliverables.
