We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water & Wastewater team to support the growth of the Canadian business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the design of pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs, showcasing exceptional technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Your primary role will be to lead the design phase of these critical infrastructure projects, ensuring that they meet all regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Given the nature of upcoming projects, it would be ideal for you to have experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Trunk mains and large diameter pipeline design
- Pump stations
- Reservoirs
- PRV stations
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of various sizes
- Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
- Works on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepares cost estimates for various water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Prepares technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase on the projects.
- Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 10+ years of water project experience
- Experience includes water transmission/distribution projects, water-wastewater pump stations, and Reservoirs
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Must have demonstrated experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
- Work well in a team environment
- Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
