Location: Manchester (with occasional travel to London, once a quarter)
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to establish a strong presence in Manchester, supporting the expansion of civil engineering operations.
The role requires a confident, proactive individual who can take ownership of the design process for the first year and act as a trusted “boots on the ground” for Manchester-based projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design aspects of civil engineering projects with confidence and precision.
- Collaborate on business development activities, helping to grow the Manchester portfolio.
- Support a variety of projects, including:
oVarious Housing schemes
oLarge Developments in Manchester and surrounding areas
oInteresting and complex listed building projects that require civil engineering expertise.
- Work closely with the London-based team, ensuring seamless technical integration and alignment.
Requirements:
- A good level of previous experience in civil engineering.
- Proven ability to take ownership of design-focused roles, particularly in the first year.
- Versatility to manage a variety of project types.
- Strong interpersonal and business development skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
- Willingness to travel to London quarterly (or more frequently if required).
