The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Dubai office to play a leading role in the development of our civil engineering team and the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious civil engineering design projects in the UAE, KSA and worldwide.
Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, as well as colleagues across a range of various engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
You will take responsibility for all aspects of design across a numerous and varied portfolio of civil engineering projects, concerned predominantly with infrastructure within the built environment.
You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership (CEng) if not already achieved.
The Skills:
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng), and having already achieved or working towards achieving chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng or equivalent), you should have demonstrable experience in a civil engineering role within a consultancy environment. You should be well versed in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, Info Drainage, and GIS.
The candidate shall have relevant experience in civil engineering design relating to the built environment, including the design and interfaces of infrastructure projects. This shall include wet utilities design, dry utility interfaces and requirements, drainage systems, utility infrastructure coordination and spatial planning. Knowledge in the design of grading and earthworks as part of development projects would be advantageous. Design experience in the UAE and KSA is mandatory for the role.
The candidate shall have experience in developing schemes ranging from Concept and Detailed Masterplanning, to Detailed Design and Construction with an understanding of approval processes.
Experience of infrastructure as part of buildings and plot projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and other specialisms is essential.
The successful candidate will possess both technical knowledge and managerial ability with a proven track record in being able to successfully deliver projects (on time and within budgetary constraints) and have the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and less experienced engineers to deliver to and exceed client expectations.
