We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer to join our Energy & Carbon Solutions business. This business unit supports a wide range of decarbonisation and renewable energy projects.
The main purpose for this role will involve managing the civil and structural engineering and design development, working alongside a team of in-house specialist engineers with elements outsourced to subconsultants. Typical civil and structural work includes engineering buildings / structures and foundations, drainage systems, highways access, site temporary / permanent roadways, utilities / services distribution, solar superstructures etc.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in applicable Civil/Structural Engineering Disciplines
• Experience in Civil & Construction Engineering Design
• Experience in engineering / design management
• Extensive knowledge of industrial standards / guidances / good practice, regulatory frameworks
• Knowledge of broader construction legislation / regulations
• Experience in managing and coordinating design
• Proficient in the use of standard industry design tools, such as AutoCAD, Tuflow, Microdrainage
• Experience in the use of standard industry design and project management tools, such as AutoDesk, View For Projects, Microsoft Project and Pro-Core
• Proficient in the use of standard software, such as Microsoft Office
