Description:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS
- Experience dealing with renewable claims from First Notification of Loss to successful resolution.
- Knowledge of Natural Resources claims and confidence to help coordinate and be involved with discussions with our networks, clients, underwriters and experts.
- Experience of dealing direct with clients and/or insurers.
- Outstanding leadership expertise with the skills to lead, coach and develop a team of less-experienced colleagues
- Solid understanding of claims coverage issues and widely utilised market wordings and clauses.
- Demonstrable negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Involvement from first notification of loss, through to management of claims with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to liaison with the wider claims team, clients, network offices, placement teams, underwriters and their appointed experts (loss adjusters, lawyers etc), negotiation with markets, and settlement and collection.
- Provide proactive advice and guidance on coverage related issues for clients and Aon network offices to present and advocate the best strategy to facilitate the settlement and conclusion of claims.
- Coordinate discussions and attend meetings, which from time to time might necessitate overseas travel to ensure outstanding levels of communication between the client, adjuster and underwriter concerning ongoing handling and/or settlement of claims.
- Ability to multi task and deal with a wide and varied case of load of claims at any one time.
- Be involved with tenders / report writing as necessary.
- Maintain internal records and good understanding of the London Market practices and procedures
