Responsibilities:

  • Following the AAL Claims Management Process, adhering to policy contracts and agreed guidelines, ensuring timely, consistent, and transparent assessment, with all comments captured in the claims system.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting claims management, make liability decisions of increasing complexity, and coach team members to develop their capabilities.
  • Managing a portfolio of claims from validation to finalisation within PCA authority levels, keeping clients informed as per communication requirements, and review and authorize payments for other team members.
  • Managing claimant and stakeholder expectations and relationships, build positive internal team relationships, and tailor communication to suit client interactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with the General Insurance Code of Practice, adhere to AAL phone standards, and provide timely and effective customer responses and accurate claims processing.
