Looking for a new and exciting career opportunity? We are looking for a Senior Clerk to join the Electrical team of the Signals/Electrical/Communications Department.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • Your educational background will consist of the completion of secondary school education, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Your application will demonstrate several years of similar or related work experience.
  • You will have good knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • You will also have working knowledge of personal computers and applications relevant to the work such as MS Office, IFS, PPIN, OARS, etc. including a familiarity with databases.
  • Your ability to meet deadlines, along with your keyboarding and organizational skills will be beneficial in this role.
  • You will have good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Your application will reveal your knowledge and practical experience with financial monitoring, reporting and record keeping.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Electrical, you will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the day-to-day operations of the Electrical section. You will facilitate the procurement of supplies, materials and services for the section. As the Senior Clerk, you will also prepare and/or assist with the preparation of correspondence and/or documentation on behalf of the department/section in accordance with department/section standards. You will assist with the monitoring, tracking and updating of information, data, and records, while ensuring accuracy and following up as required. You will process or assist with the processing of documentation, reports, and data, with accuracy, and manage and maintain these documents, records, files, while following established procedures and within established timelines.
In this role, you will liaise with other colleagues/support staff, other departments, and/or external parties concerning routine matters under the direction of department staff. You will also provide coverage for the department’s Administrative Assistant/other support staff and assist with other duties and tasks as required. In addition, you may participate in and/or assist with department/section activities or events if required.
